Guest guest
Dear Learned Members, Namaste... Please let me know if the 'visheshaNas' for the two words Iswara and Jiva are correct or not. IswaraH = SatvaguNapradhanaH, vikshepalakshaNaH, maayapratibimbitacaitanyam. JivaH = tamapradhanaH, aavaraNalakshaNaH, avidyapratibimbitachaitanyam. I have a doubt in the second qualifier for both the words. Others are alright. How Iswara can be vikshepalakshaNaH? After aavaraNa only, vikshepa takes place. How JivaH can be aavaraNalakshaNaH? Please clarify. I am asking this because, in some book it is said like that. With regards, anupam.

For Iswara we call this as the power of Maaya hence the third qualification is stated. He has only vikshepa than aavaraNa hence satva pradhaana. Jiiva is tamasika pradhaana - hence he has aavaraNa - therefore avidyaapratibimbita. Both are pratibimba only or reflected consciousness (es) one in the individual mind the other total mind. For jiivan mukta the aavaraNa drops out only vikshepa remains since he sees the vibhuuti of the Iswara in the creation. The three visheShaNaas for each are interrelated. Hari Om!
