Guest guest
The Ramayana has been the perennial source of spiritual, cultural, and artistic inspiration for these thousands of years, not only to the people of India , but also to the people of South-East Asian countries. It has enriched the national literature of these countries, and has also provided themes for every form of their art -- dance, drama, music, painting, and sculpture. Its characters have helped to mold the Hindu character. Ramayana is the greatest treatise on personality development and excellence in life. It is also the source for Bhagavadgita. The character and message of Mandodari, the queen of Ravana has a great message to mankind for personality development and excellence in life. On lisstening her, one will be in surprise with a question ' Who killed Ravana?' Mandodari, the crown queen of Ravana, the mother of Indra, came to the battlefield after the death of her husband. Mandodari lamented " I know who Rama is. He is the Lord of lords, Narayan, the greatest of yogis, the Paramatman, the Ancient, the one Truth which has no begining and no end nor any middle. He is eternal. He is beyond the darkness called Avidya, ignorance. He is the creater of the Universe. He is the Lord of all the three worlds. Rama is the incarnation of Lord Narayana Himself and I have no doubt about it. It was your very senses which have proved to be your undoing and killed you " While lamenting, Mandodari summarised the Vedas, upanishads for personality development and excellence to the mankind. I welcome our advaitin new moderator Sri Shyamji by dedicating this. I requst you to listen to Mandodari's message. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ramayana+vaibhavam+-+mandodari+sande\ sam & sea
