According to Purushasuktam, the Sun-God's grace is reflected in our intellect and soul. While Sun worship is part of India's civilization ever since the Vedic days, other religions of the world also accord prominence to it. Among the forms of worship classified by Sankarabhagavadpada, Sun worship is known as Sowram. Special worship of Sun is done on the Makara Sankranti day - this 14th January 2010. On this day the sun begins his northward journey and enters the Zodiac Makara Rasi. Prayer to Sun-God gives health,wealth and peace.
