Guest guest
Subbu-ji wroteSri Shankaracharya, across His commentarial literature, handles the Bauddhas, Sankhyas, Naiyayika-s (all dvaitins) by logic and experience alone. He does not generally quote the Upanishadic passages while arguing with them. He points out inadequacies/defects/inconsistencies in their systems by taking their very systems, what they accept, what they postulate, etc. ||||||||||||||||||||||||| Namaste Subbu-ji, Shankara applied logic and argument to the errors of other members of the Hindu Orthodox. In doing so he clarified aspects of doctrine which may indeed have been opaque to members of the Advaitic orthodox. In a lateral way then this amounts to using logic and rational argument to instruct the Advaitins. His followers in their fashion attempted to clarify Shankara on various issues which seems to have led to contrary positions on the more subtle points. So the glosses on the texts and the glosses on the glosses have multiplied down to modern times when even psychological notes and deep ponderings on Quantum Mechanics add their homage to the interpretive tradition.
