Dear Sri Michael,

Namaste.

Smell is intangible to eyes. It is tangible to nose. Form of an

object is intangible to nose, but tangible to eyes. Therefore, we

cannot say simply that " smell is intangible " . Otherwise, we have to

face the avyapti elsewhere.

With regards,

Tanya

Namaste Tanya-ji,

Yes you're probably right. The important thing is that the mind goes out

however the actual psychological sensory apparatus works in the particular

case. The mind has to go out because the object as object is inert and so

requires the action of mind to become illuminated according to Vedanta

Paribhasa.

Best Wishes,

Michael
