Guest guest
Dear all, Pranams thanks again to everyone who helped me with the pramana issue. As I am in the course of researching into the mind, I will be sending several questions about its functions in the next days or weeks. The first: In the course of studying Sri Sadajis discourses on the mind I came across one of the functions of manas being described as " the mind is also the clearing house for input from the senses and output through the organs of action, it can be thought of as a receiving and dispatching clerk " . Looking into the carriage analogy of Kathupanishad manas seems to not even dispatch, in fact, manas - being the reins - seems to be pretty useless, except in the hands of the buddhi-driver. From that image it seems that body-manas is either reigned by the senses or by the buddhi. Which would mean that action occures either because of what the senses attempt or of what the buddhi decides. Is this taking the analogy too far or are these conclusions correct? Om Shanti, Sitara
