Guest guest
Namaste. Shri Sadasiva Brahmendra Saraswathi in his Atma Vidya Vilasam says: mAyAyuta stvagmadIshwaratAM chidAtmA chAvidyayAyu gabhava ddhrita jIvabhAvaH mAyA bhavE dvimalasattvaguNapradhAnA prOktAmalApihita sattvaguNA tvavidyA //……(8) [Part – II] The chidAtma with mAyA becomes Ishwara and the same chidAtma with avidyA becomes the jIva. The substratum of mAyA is Ishwara and the substratum of avidyA is jIva. The difference between mAyA and avidyA is that mAyA is of " nirmala sattva guNa swarupa " whereas avidyA is " rajastamOguNa avarita sattva guNa swarupa " .
