Dear all,Pranamson www.discover-vedanta.com I found a beautiful quote used by Swami Dayananda. I guess many of you know it and its source. Could someone please tell me where it is from?ajnanatimirandhasya jnananjanasalakhaya caksurunmilitam yena tasmai srigurave namah

My salutations to that guru by whom the eye ( of knowledge) is opened for the

one who is blind due to ignorance by applying the ointment of knowledge. Thank you!Om ShantiSitara

Namaste:

According to the Divine Life Society Homepage, this verse is from Guru Gita. The

Guru Gita is a Hindu scripture of 216 verses, authored by the sage, Vyasa. It is

a part of the larger Skanda Purana. It describes a conversation between the

Hindu God, Lord Shiva and his wife, the Hindu Goddess Parvati, in which she asks

him to teach her about the Guru. Shiva answers her by describing the Guru

principle, the proper ways of worshiping the Guru and the methods and benefits

of repeating the Guru Gita.

The following link provides the entire Guru Gita and the reference verse is #

216.

The Hare-Krishna worshippers consider the verse as a part of Bhagavad Gita and

chant them during their Satsanghs.
