Sri Rama Navami Greetings to our Advaitin Group. The auspicious Vasanta

Navaratri 2010 - nine divine nights spring festival starts from this 16th and

climaxes on March 24th,the birthday of Lord Sri Ramachnadra - Sri Rama Navami.

Sri Rama kalyanam on Navami day is celebrated with gaiety and religious fervor

marking the celestial wedding of Goddess Sita and Lord Rama allover India and

world.

 

During the Navaratri days,reading, listening, singing the epic Ramayana

is considered a bliss to learn the lessons of life and living in grace and

peace.

 

The story of Rama,with it's lofty ideals and heart-touching

narration,holds Indian tighter.It's a narrative India at its philosophical,

cultural, religious, legendary and humanistic best.It has become a common

heritage not only for a Hindus but also of all Indians and neighboring

South-East Asian and Far Eastern countries.

 

Ramayanam,the story of Rama-his birth,courting Sita, his exploits, the

heart-rending exile, the war, the establishment of Rama rajya,the tests that

befell him-all these and many more-have influenced Indian culture,

literature,arts, music and life.Folk artists sing this story in their homey

idioms.

 

Lord Rama so captured the soul of people it's fact of life that in many

households across India and neighboring countries, he is one among family

members,looking after them,blessing them and protecting them.

 

" Rama,the ancient idol of the heroic ages, the embodiment of truth,of

morality,the ideal son, the ideal husband, the ideal father, and above all, the

ideal king, this Rama has been presented before us by the great sage Valmiki. No

language can be purer, none chaster, none more beautiful, and at the same time

simpler, than the language in which the great poet has depicted the life of

Rama. "

 

On Sri Rama Navami day lacks of devotees throng the temple town on the

banks of river Godavari in Andhra Pradesh.As per tradition 'Mutyala Talambralu'

for the kalyana mahotsavam will be brought by the representative of the Govt. of

A.P and sacred silk cloths will be presented by Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams.

Lord Rama ties the special 'Mangala Sutra' which has three pendants to Sita at

stroke of 12 noon,Abhijit Lagnam,amidst Vedic chants with lacks of devotees

witnessing the event.

 

On this auspicious " SRI RAMA KALYANA MAHOTSAVAM " I welcome you all with
