Dear Viswanath/Chandran

This is Satheesh kumar here.Just a few words on this

aspect of Bhakthi & Jnana..

Sri Bhagavan has indeed mentioned that Bhakthi is

Jnana Matha, implying Bhakthi will LEAD one to Jnana.

And, Jnana is not any dry logic as its misunderstood

some times..Bhagavan has mentioned that, Mano

nasa/Destruction of the Mind, is the highest form of

Bhakthi.

Its the 'Loss of Ego/Individuality' which is the

HIGHEST form of Bhakthi/SURRENDER,as Bhagavan Himself

has said several times. This actually means

surrendering ourselves to God/Guru,and there is

nothing/none remaining to be surrendered once this

happens by the GRACE of Bhagavan.

Again,Bhagavan has remarked several times that,

Surrender & Enquiry actually means the same ,though

they may seem to take different routes to reach the

SOURCE.

If we have surrendered completely, then there cannot be

any complaints/worries.Similarly,when the Enquiry

happens with full attention, the mind stays in 'I

am'..and this can happen only when we Surrender

ourselves to Bhagavan and pursue the Path..So in

effect, there is only ONE PATH, which is a combination

of Bhakthi & Jnana..

Ego takes form thro the thoughts and Enquiry

eliminates the same.and,in the absence of thoughts

there cannot be any feeling of being superior/inferior

to others..As Bhagavan has repeatedly said,Our Duty is

to BE STILL..and the more we pratice (BY HIS GRACE)

,the more we tend to LIVE in the PRESENT and abide in

the SOURCE.

Also, Bhagavan has encouraged the devotees to combine

different forms of Practice like

Devotion/Enquiry/Chanting etc, to suit the varying

modes of our minds.. When Sri Kunju Swami(one of the

close devotees of Bhagavan who came to Thiruvannamalai

in 1920 and, who had the VERY RARE opportunity of

Serving Bhagavan physically for many years) asked

Bhagavan about the Service to Guru once, Bhagavan has

told him that, " the Real Service is in putting to

Practice the words of the Guru.Doing Physical service

etc ,are all only Secondary. If you continuously do

Vichara/Dhyana/Parayana etc without letting your mind

in worldly matters, that is the HIGHEST SERVICE to the

GURU " ..

Yours in Sri Bnagavan,

Satheesh kumar

Namaste Chris,

Yes in illusion one has to understand that there is a lower mind and

body and an intellect. The lower mind and body contain emotion and

use the energy more so. So it is a marriage between the mind and

emotions of Bhakti and the Intellect of the Vijnanamayakosa. Both

ending up in the same place, for there is only one place to go or

be..............ONS...Tony.
