Guest guest
Namate All, IMO. Bhakti and Jnana end up in the same place, for there is only one goal. However there are the differences due to belief components of an attitude etc. Bhakti really believes in a 'God' in creation not just the actions of karma alone. This turns into an emotional response to worship, love and be attached to the Godform or whatever. There is no desire for complete non dual liberation for this would nullify the love form. In Jnana their is self enquiry, neti neti, and the repudiation of the reality of creation. In search of lifting the veil to Moksha. However both paths eventually lead to Jnana or Vijnana. The intense emotion and devotion of the Bhakta, eventually cleanses the Vijnanamyakos and Jnana happens. The Jnani achieves the same ends by lifting the veil of illusion. What is common to both is the need for Sadhana. Many on the Jnana Path will still do Sadhana, meditation, mantras etc, for it is necessary to quicken the pace of cleansing the Buddhi or Vijnanamayakosa. IMHO, Compassion/Ahimsa is one necessary attribute during this process, for one can have an intellectual understanding even in Bhakti and Jnana but one doesn't know where one is at in the Vijnanamayakosa, with regard to its cleansing. This is why there are several yogas in the Gita but they all end up with Jnana-Vijnana...........ONS...Tony.
