Namaste,

Well I learned a lot that stuck with me, some unwelcome. First of all

the abuse by the so called Christian Brothers. Secondly the confession

or reconciliation as they call it today. At the time I didn't

understand it properly. Later I did and it is good psychology and karma.

1. The Priest doesn't forgive the sin-----he is the go between for

'God' so to speak. He asks you to examine your conscience.

2. We do a penance---usually three Our Fathers, three Hail Marys,

which are perfect mantras, and a Glory Be. This relieves the fear.

3. We have to vow to make restitution/compensation, the 'Sin' is

forgiven only on the proviso the balance is restored.

So here we have an understanding of karmic memory, I at first didn't

appreciate. Only later as I go into Hindu/Vedanta did I fully

understand the confession. I also understood the 'Mass' as a sacrifice

to show non-duality, (very Essenic),combined with a bhajan, and puja.

Strange if

one goes back to the roots, the Catholics could fit into Hinduism

quite easily..................ONS....Tony.
