The thought called enlightenment

The thought called enlightenment or self-realization is an impossibility. If it were possible it would be as simple as changing one simple thought.

If the thought called enlightenment were possible then all we would have to do to be “enlightened” is to take the thought that the mind takes for granted “I’m always awake” and simply change it into the thought “I’m always dreaming.”

The problem is that it is just as impossible to change a thought as it is to control it.

The Study of thoughts in meditation, the “Supreme Science,” tells us most fundamentally, and adamantly, that thoughts cannot be controlled, or changed. This is because both control and change are just thoughts.

Again, there is no choice because choice is just a thought. But most minds do not know this. So if the mind thinks it has a choice then let it choose between the thoughts called maya and karma.

Take anything in the totality-of-thoughts called maya, life - living, seriously and we will be what we think. We will be all these serious thoughts that generate all the karma maya needs to be entertaining.

Accept that maya is nothing but entertainment, a dream – “I’m always dreaming” -- and then, far beyond our wildest dreams, and joys, We will Realize that this JOY of entertainment is the Self itself.

this JOY you are, and only thoughts can think otherwise
