How appropriate. The story of both Socrates and Jesus, and many

groups.

Another more potent word for this ferocity is patriotism. While the

ferocity of herds might maim and even kill a few, patriotism can use

the most advanced methods and venoms of war to righteously invade,

slaughter and plunder even the most impoverished nations patriotism

can find.

If there was a doer, or if death was nothing more than an Awakening,

then one might want to worry about such herd instincts.

But, since there is no doer, it can make no difference what imaginary

herds do with the ferocity and venom they need to think they are

doers.
