Guest guest
Advaita will stay polluted as long as dualities rule the societies it has to survive in. In a dualistic society, how can anyone be allowed to say that the mind is a Joke. Go into an university or church and proclaim that the mind is a joke and see how long you, and your Advaita, survives. And yet the non-duality of Advaita tells us exactly that: the mind is a joke, maya. It has to be a joke. As long as it prevents the Self from “realizing” that the universe is its imagination it will stay a joke. Advaita tells us that other than the Self there is nothing, but thoughts. So thoughts, the mind, keeps us, the SELF, from realizing that the universe is its/our imagination, maya. Advaita can take us a lot deeper into the absurd dualities society needs to keep maya entertaining. But only the Self could find it not only entertaining but a joke. Not only a joke but a supreme-joke. This supreme-joke would make ascetics (sannyasi ?) laugh at any society that would expect, if not insist, that someone in Samadhi should get a life by finding a job; or the likes of a Buddha, Jesus or Ramana should get a life by finding a job. gp
