Guest guest
OM Tony OM I have been close to death with trauma twice and both times there was very little left of my mind -- my mind was somehow out of the picture; and it left an unfathomable peace and Joy and freedom that literally made we want to die. This is monumental because I was brain- washed by Jesuits for 15 years with: near death everybody comes begging and crawling back. It would be decades later that I would discover that this near- death, shock, semi-coma … Joy is just a dilution of the Self, Samadhi. Coma, Trauma, shock … all is just the mind getting out of the picture so the Self can " surface. " The more the mind is out of the picture with its thoughts-body the more this vacancy has to leave the Joy called the Self. To think otherwise we would need some sort of duality between the Self and the Nothing we call thoughts. To tell you the truth, and speaking as a doctor, I think the ultimate if not perfect disease any god could give us is Alzheimer's. May I be lucky enough to get it. the LOVE you are gp ================================== advaitajnana , " Tony OClery " <aoclery> wrote: > > advaitajnana , " Gene Polotas " <gpalotas> > wrote: > > > > advaitajnana , " Tony OClery " <aoclery> > wrote: > > > > > > Namaste, > > > > > > May she be happy away from all this selfishness and ignorance. > Loka > > > Samastha Sukhino Bhavantu.........Tony. > > > > ==================================== > > > > She has been in Samadhi for 15 years and will stay there for eternity > > while we mortal fools soak in our selfishness and ignorance. > > > > OM > > Namaste G, > > What makes you think she was in Samadhi? The moment you need a doer to do anything then Advaita no longer has any meaning because then there is/are at least two: the Self and the doer. And if you have one doer then the other 6 billion have to follow with all their gods and demons and reincarnations. We are eternally realized -- the Self is eternally Realized -- only the mind, thoughts, can think otherwise. When thoughts go, as with dreamless-sleep, " Self-realization " or death then it can only leave the Self, Samadhi-- that is changless and eternal. We are all the same Self only the thoughts that keep coming back each imaginary morning can think otherwise. - OM gp

However to get realisation one has to have a purified mind otherwise tendencies or samskaras will prevent the realisation.........ONS...Tony.
