daughter said something so cute and wise today... wife was saying

something about life being short... she said, well, our life is the

longest thing we have! everything else is shorter and fits into the

whole thing.

Before we/society/civilization shackle them into the mundane and material world, kids are the pure and pristine eyes, ears and voice of the Self.

To call what your child said “cute and wise” is a monumental understatement. The kid said something so far beyond the mortal mind that not even Einstein and all the greatest intellects living in the world -- in their wildest dreams... could figure out what she was saying. In fact she was the voice of the Self telling us that time is imaginary. You can thus fit into time, or take out of time, whatever the mind wants. Because the mind is what it thinks, be it time or anything else.

Physics tells us that time is imaginary and so do our memories. The only reason we can keep exchanging our memories and thoughts and even dreams is because they are one and the same. This thinking is nothing new, it is at least 5000 years old, Advaita.

The Self plays all the roles of everything and everybody. Indeed all words come from the Self except most of them go though the intestinal tracts of intellects, egos and even geniuses and gurus.

But rarely the words of the Self are so pristine and pure that they have to come from the Self directly. Words like: “love your neighbor as yourself” “Do good to those who hurt you” … “whoever does it to the least … does it to me” … etc. And so too with the words: “our life is the longest thing we have! everything else is shorter and fits into the whole thing…”

Other words the Self has given us directly through the voice of children: “When we die we just wake up.”

And then there was the five year old that went up to his newborn sister to ask: “Can you tell me what God is like because I forget?” (Think about this: A five year old already realizes that it has forgot – and its parents, society, civilization have forgotten even better; or they are useless because they are looking in the wrong direction, like death instead of what death is: the Awakening or “birth” of the Self.)

Kids are born Self-realized and then we, with our society and civilization, bibles and truths, beat it out of them so they can then spend the rest of their life trying to find the unfathomable JOY they cannot lose: the Self; “self-realized.” It is that simple; and it is such a joke that it has to be a Supreme Comedy. .

If you want to find the Self – that you are, and thus cannot lose -- then perhaps you should forget about finding fucking gurus (for most gurus are good for nothing less) and start listening to children – they are the pristine and pure voice of the Self.

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
