Like a Bhodisattva. When they incarnate they have the opportunity to 'fall' as well as achieve Moksha. For example Raju Narayana aka sai baba is a yoga brashta, a fallen yogi. It appears he was a Ghandarva and achieved a lot but was not able to overcome his desires. His desire to be rich, like an emperor and rule over millions of people, and in some cases fulfill his desires on them. So really an Avatar is just the same as you and I, and they have the same opportunity to become realised or fall as we do. A Mukti is in a superior state to an Avatar, for we are all avatars really. If you read the lives of many avatars, such as Krishna etc, you will see they became fully realised in that lifetime. So achieving Moksha, but with a built in karmic programme to carry out to help people. The test of a true Guru is if he guides you to less activity not more..........ONS...Tony. --- End forwarded message ---
