Guest guest
Namaste, Yes this is and important time, for it contained many great teachers like the Buddha, probably Sankara, Gaudapada, Mahavira, Lao-Tzu and even Jesus. However there were other important periods as well. For example 3500 B.C. with Sri Krishna, or probably about 150,000 B.C. for Sri Ram. There was also an important period about 250,000 B.C. which included great teachers as Amilius. Who may be known by other names today. Then there was the period of the two Kumaric or Adamic descents, mentioned in the Bible, Koran, and Srimad Bhagavatum. I think personally the period coming up to the time of Jesus was important for the lack of spirituality and the rise of great egoistic and cruel empires. Imagine if these empires had the technology and domination of 20th/21stC empires. There is always a teacher, an Avatar or Bhodisattva, and no doubt there will be in the future. Selfless beings living selflessly and giving up Moksha for a lifetime or perhaps more to help, the rest of us in illusion. It is interesting to note that coming up to the terrible time of the mid to late 20th century to the present, we had Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Vivekananda, Ramana Maharshi and others. Some were great Gurus on the Inner Teaching and others great Bhakti and Karma Yoga teachers---From St Vincent de Paul to Ammachi. And many unsung and unknown whose help is at a different level. There is always the light available in illusion to find the truth... Prof VK is right the so called great science and power of the present empires will be sidelined and become irrelevant as a more spiritual compensation returns.........ONS....Tony.
