Namaste, I agree with that sentiment if one can stick to it. However the net is a great repository of texts and information. Using one scripture as a yardstick doesn't allow for any compatison or expansive thinking. I have had contradictory favourite texts over my life. They are all written by men. For the scripture dear to one's heart may in the end be a lot of rubbish or limited in scope to one level of thought.........ONS...Tony. --- End forwarded message ---
Guest guest
The money a guru gets for his advice is the same money I spend on buying scriptures, and the same money crime needs to be organized and also the same money cults need to be religions and also the same money that women/men get for being prostitutes. Only one of MY egos would want to argue that one type of money is better or worse than another. -- just thoughts =-=================== advaitajnana , " Tony OClery " <aoclery> wrote: > NonDualPhil , " Tony OClery " <aoclery> > wrote: > NonDualPhil , " Greg Goode " <goode@D...> wrote: > > NonDualPhil , ombhurbhuva <ombhurbhuva@e...> > > wrote: > > > > > A strategy I would suggest, banal and blindingly > > > obvious though it be, is to study a traditional > > > scripture that is dear to your heart and use > > > that as the yardstick with which to > > > judge any homily. > > > > ===This strategy is as sound and wise > > as it is obvious!!! > > Namaste, > > I agree with that sentiment if one can stick to it.
