Yes I referred to sb, partly because there several posts around on him and his 'miracles' etc. And I personally regard not issuing a warning now and again as a lapse in Ahimsa, as he is a dangerous pedophile and conman. An impediment----That's as far as I go these days. http://home.hccnet.nl/cmg.vdsandt/The Secret Swami.wmv Vndist is to me a word that was coined on the Harshasatsangh some years ago. I cannot remember whether I personally made it into an acronym or not, but it is very useful and saves a lot of argument and explanation. Even your sai baba says that bookish knowledge is not the way, and people are walking around as walking talking books. Many people on these lists are vndists, as they have discovered the intellectual stimulation of parroting and discussing non dualism whithout actually having to do anything at all. Many of them think that sadhana is typing, or they deny completely the efficacy of it. Many are great philosophic quoters and have massed immense knowledge, which in the end is avidya anyway. I'm not saying they are completely on the wrong path, but they are on the first step not the last as they imagine. In fact they are very useful in cutting away the excess devotional take on things, which can sometimes be confusing to some. The results of whatever depth I have read in Vedanta are that it never happened at all, and the ego is a fraud. Is there more to learn than that? Or would you be impressed if I was a great vndist and quoted reams of memorised philosophical quotes and ideas?....ONS....Tony. --- End forwarded message ---
