Namaste, As Sankara says, it is real enough whilst we are in it. That is we have to do sadhana to cleanse the vasanas and samskaras, which prevent realisation. And when it cannot add up to ZERO (the thoughtless Silence of Samadhi) it will eternally need more questions and answers to keep the universe expanding even faster with the thoughts that it is. To give the dream called maya some sort of " reality " just because we think we are in it – when WE are the Dreamer -- is not only an absurdity but an absurdity on top an absurdity. It is impossible to be FREE of maya if " we " have to take it seriously because " we " are in it when there is no " we " because there is " no doer. " There is only the ONE, the Dreamer… there is only this Atman, that plays all the roles of all its imaginary egos. This Atman I AM and YOU ARE and ALL IS. THIS IS NON- DUALITY. Everything else is verbiage that always needs more verbiage to keep the universe expanding with this verbiage we call the information-age. Sankara is not alone. The Buddha might have been Awake but not awake enough to realize that without a doer he could not have had past- lives… because without a doer there is no life, mostly because there is no past, nor future. Life and its time is an illusion, a dream, fiction, maya. NON-duality means that there can be no doer only the ATMAN that plays all the roles…THAT IS THE ONLY WAY non-duality can ADD UP into the thoughtless Silence of Samadhi, Atman. And if there is no doer then there are no lives, only the collection of thoughts, egos, that think they are alive when " alive " is just a thought.
