Guest guest
Namaste IMHO, Evil is the commission of harmful acts continually without conscience. It also includes the causing of harmful acts, and other violations of the concept of Ahimsa. Treatment of the environment and animals for example. For example oil companies causing wars and polluting the planet, and at the same time refusing to develop other resources. Or even actively preventing development of non harmful sources of energy, for monetary reasons. That is evil involving business and politicians on a grand scale, resulting wars, poverty and oppression..............ONS..Tony.

If a western power kills hundreds of thousands of people with bombs, is that worse than Hitler's concentration camps. Yes 'just wars' are not evil but the camps are? So as Shakespeare? said,, it is thinking that makes it so. Is it evil to kill billions of animals daily for food? It is evil to kill 11.5 million in the concentration camps. Is the Holocaust of Jews more evil than the holocaust of the Irish in the mid 19th century? An Gorta Mor---the great death? Where are the An Gorta Mor museums, where is the An Gorta Mor day? Where is the day for the Ruandans? What about a day for the billions of animals slaughtered everyday? It is all relative and seemingly depended on value judgements based on influence and other strange reasons. Are pedophiles evil? What if the society allows it? Is it still evil. IMHO the only thing that can be construed as evil, if one wants some kind of answer is violations of Ahimsa in its broadest sense. For that always involves a gross act of ego, which in itself is the source for all the confusion. So anything that interferes with one pointedness and the journey to Moksha is evil, if it violates Ahimsa which it must.. But ultimately there is no Good or Evil.........ONS...Tony. --- End forwarded message ---
