Namaste,

I remember a story, I think it was a Krishna story, where a Brahmin

had overcome every desire in life except his love for an old cow. This

was a strong attachment and to relieve this Krishna 'killed' the cow

and released the Brahmin to Moksha.

This is no doubt allegorical but the message is there. We all are on

the path and talk of Moksha and Advaita but at the same time are

hanging on to our 'attachment cows'. There are many cows of all kinds

and they keep presenting themselves again and again. Yet we tend to

feed and keep them, using all kinds of excuses and rationalisations.

This is why IMHO opinion many shy away from pure advaita and moksha

for their biggest cow is the ego and identity they/we don't want to

lose.

It seems in the end result there can only be suffering to overcome our

cows but there is an end to it...............ONS...Tony.
