Namaste, I don't know what stage Amma is at, but she does good work and helps people. That's probably enough. With regard to being absorbed in her and her samadhis etc. This is just putting the name Amma on one's own higher self. It is easier for some to do something external at different stages in their sadhana. Amma's own words indicate that different devotees view her in different ways and she tolerates it because she can't stop it anyay.
