Guest guest
In a sleep dream the mind is locked into the dream because it is the dream. No matter how absurd or unreal a dream is, there is no way the mind can figure out that it is the dream, unless it is part of the dream. What about the awake state we call life? Can life get so unreal that the mind can figure that it cannot be real and thus it must be unreal, just like a dream? This question bothered sages around the Indus River in India over 5000 years ago: Is the mind locked into life just as certainly as it is locked into a dream? Their null hypothesis was: no matter how unreal life gets there is no way the mind can figure out that it/life is just the mind, a dream. A few of these sages SPENT years trying to figure out if there was any difference between sleep-dreaming and being awake, life. They observed how their mind worked when it slowed down in thoughtless-meditation. When they compared notes they ALL agreed UNIVERSALLY that they could not observe thoughts in thoughtless meditation because the mind was the thoughts that it was observing. They also ALL agreed UNIVERSALLY that thoughts were completely disconnected (with universe-vanishing quantum-gaps ) and that they were totally unpredictable. Modern Physics would echo these exact same findings 5000 years later with quantum-gaps and the Uncertainty Principle. . Since the mind was the thoughts it was trying to observe, and since thoughts were disconnected by quantum-gaps, and totally unpredictable, these sages figured that there was no such thing as thinking because it was just a thought. And if there was no thinking then life was exactly like a dream … and no matter how unreal this life gets it always has to appear real. But then what was this dream called life all about if it was all just the mind, a dream? They thought when there was no such thing as thinking and this only made them think even more about what this dream/life was all about if there was no such thing as thinking….if the mind did not work then what was it all about… ? There was one sage who was obsessed with trying to figure out what this mind and its body was all about with its non-thinking. And it took him several years to digest all this thinking that he thought he was doing about his non-thinking mind … and when he sort of defecated all this digested material out he erupted suddenly in unfathomable JOY and uncontrollably-insane Laughter. He told his fellow sages with the utmost of Joy that Reality was this laughter/Joy and the mind/life was Reality's fiction called seeking, " trying to understand, " this defecation of digested-thoughts that was/is this Laughter and Joy. This insane-laughter and unfathomable JOY has been called Kundalini, the Holy Spirit or Consciousness or Samadhi. Its knowledge has been handed down to us diluted by intellectuals and their scriptures and gods and their religions as the non-duality of Advaita. It would take 5000 years before mankind would find something that was like this Consciousness, Kundalini. It is called a black-hole. Consciousness is like a black-hole and thoughts, the mind/life-dreams, are like planets/galaxies appearing only to disappear into this Reality which is the black-hole of thoughts called Consciousness.
