Guest guest
Namaste,All, IMHO, One will find Ramana, on several occasions, states that Ajativada is the ultimate truth but that many people will not be able to absorb it. Having said that if one examines the teachings of any Guru even, Gaudapada, Sankara, Ramana etc, one will find dualistic, partially dualistic, non dual, and ajativada levels of discourse. Because one must bear in mind that the mind of the questioner or audience is reflected in the Guru's words. He wouldn't talk to primary school kids the same way as post graduates at University, although everything is true at their level. Its the old full bucket cannot understand a full pond concept, for it is full already. So one can always find a quote to support an argument at any level. That is why the 'Self' is emphasised because it is Saguna and has attributes that humans can identify with. Otherwise some people would lose their spirituality if they entertained the truth without preparing the mind, through meditation. This is probably because one can only abide in the Self whilst one is in body. Once the body drops dead it all disappears and only the NirGuna Brahman concept is left. This happens spontaneously on Moksha so there is no point in teaching something to people who cannot absorb it for the end result is the same anyway. Speaking within illusion about souls, or entities is a better word; Animals souls do reincarnate as do all forms, that is spiritual evolution. The idea of 'Group Souls' comes from the 'species mind', which is also in humans. However with humans they have egos that can overide their nature and dharma, whereas animals almost never do. So the impression of individual to group souls is given. If animals only had group 'souls' instead of a potential egos and awareness sheaths, they could never progress and ALL spiritual evolvment would cease. That isn't even logical!! Finally Ramana says it is easier to absorb for those that cannot absorb Ajativada, if one imagines the universe arises as we perceive it. Also I return to the question if the world disappears on bodiless moksha as the sages say; it can never have happened for Brahman cannot be divided, as appearance requires mind................ONS..Tony.
