Bhakti and Jnana...some thoughts.

Namaste,

 

Pure Bhakti is complete surrender of the ego.

 

So most of what we call devotion or bhakti is something less than

that. It is more about Hope and the linear thinking of humans. There

is a lack of taking responsibility, a feeling of comfort, lack of

choice, a quietitude, peace of mind, a feeling that one has arrived

and nothing else needs to be done as the Lord will take care of

everything. This can be a huge trap, unless one realises the ego

itself has to be 'merged' and given up.

 

On the other hand on the Jnana path there is taking responsibility, a

giving up of hope, and an improving of awareness. It seems more

difficult and a lot drier but the end result is the

same.....ONS...Tony.
