Guest guest
Namaste All, Within this illusion, karma works in strange ways. A post 'stolen' or taken from this forum and posted somewhere else on the net may result in the Moksha of a person who reads it. I see quotes of mine all over the place, it doesn't worry me, for they do not belong to me. Somebody even took a quote from a book that I had co-authored and posted it on a Racist Irish site. Some other genius presumed that I must be a member of a racist site if it is posted there, and proceeded to spread this on the net. Ahhhh why worry Who is offended? Even though the quote was about non sectarianism.hahaahahah. The important thing is I know who I am or who I am not. Who is offended, Who is the neophyte? Somebody talked of India, which I have spent time in on more than one occasion, and my late father was a Major in the Indian Army, NW Frontier and other places Pune etc. He was born in Dublin so essentially didn't believe in colonialism, but there is another take on the karma here. If it wasn't the Brits who conquered India then it would have been the Muslims, the French, the Portuguese etc. Then where would all these English speaking I.T. people have come from? What would be in Bangalore? Who would be writing in English about the Vedanta? Who would have built the railways and infrastructure? And as Gandhiji said....His non violent campaign would only work on the British, not on any other colonial power. Imagine what the Nazis or any other power would have done about the non violent crowds. My late father actually had personal conversations with Gandhi and Gandhiji was extremely popular with the public in the UK particularly the North and London East End. Where would all the English speaking Indians in the UK, Canada, USA etc etc have come from? Why would I be a student of the Vedanta? Even the Theosophical Society was instrumental in the formation of the Congress Party and the push for Independence. I don't believe in Colonialism per se for it interferes with a people. However Karma works in many a strange way, and who were the Brits that went to India for 200 years, and who are the Indians that returned to the UK or even N America? There is neither good nor bad but thinking that makes it so? The only thing that I know is that I know nothing, for there is nothing to know....................ONS...Tony. PS Don't worry who is using 'your posts' etc, it is all outside go within and nobody will steal your posts, or be viewed from behind lace curtains.......Get on with the job?!!
