As with all science so far, they have to stop at what they have researched. As in the news right now, they say they can map 'dark matter' but this isn't the prakriti of vedanta, or even the unified field or akasha. It seems to me Dhyana is just a form of pre meditation or pre samadhi. A step further than concentration. Religion, Beliefs, Attitudes, Gods, Malas, Japa, Bhajans etc are only to re=ligio or bind the mind back to its non dual origins.
