Guest guest
.... The experience in the present moment is gone the moment you have thought about the experience. Also, you can imagine an experience in the future. Whether the experience is brought up from the memory of the past or is projected into the future, it is not the present moment. And this is a typical trick of the mind, to go over a past experience and either want it repeated or never to be repeated, depending on whether it was acceptable or not acceptable. When this is understood, it creates a remarkable transformation, maybe at an intellectual level but nonetheless, it is a transformation. Even with the intellectual understanding, the result of this intellectual understanding is that gradually the involvement gives way to witnessing. This is not enlightenment. This is not true awakening. ... Conversations with Ramesh S.
