Guest guest
Namaste, IMHO. Love is the ground or the 'Self'. Emotion, sentiment and other movements of energy do not constitute Love, except in a pollyanna kind of way. There is no soul calling us, there is only our karma, and prana. Why would a soul call an illusion and reinforce it? There is only one soul in the universe. The ground or Self is itself ultimately also an illusion, for on realisation it was all found not to have ever happened. So 'Love' itself is also an illusion ultimately. In the meantime there seems to be a way of using various aspects of love/self/saguna brahman, to achieve the understanding that some behaviour is conducive to the individual realising it is the universal. This seems to be achieved by diverting the attention from oneself and one's own ego to the broader good, and not doing anything that would upset a balance an incur more karmic response. There is no god on earth come to help you get realised only by removing the personal egotistc impediments can this be realised. This can be aided by true day or compassion and specifically ahimsa or non violence. Ahimsa really means resistance to violence for in some cases an apparently violent response is req'd to preserve it. In the end result one has to find out who one is...Who am I? and realise that. Religion, gurus, superstition, are useful at an early stage but ultimately it is a lonely job, initially until realisation occurs simultaneously with saguna and nir guna. In the meantime the only thing necessary as an adjunct to the path is Daya and Ahimsa, and that doesn't necessarily mean being 'nice'...Tony.
