Depends what one means by ego....The animals have the same tool, and

it is used to react to danger and to fear. An animal knows when it is

being threatened and takes appropriate action.. This reaction in

humans has been grossly expanded and so is now the 'EGO' where the

mind and desire is identifying with a reactive mechanism and that's

all it is....Cheers Tony.
