Compassion is Daya or one of the components of liberation. It means not seeing a

difference between yourself and anything else....In other words you are not

observing them suffering but observing suffering and feeling compassion in the

common non dual pain. You also are suffering for all is one. Daya is really

about diluting the ego sense, so that all suffering is suffered by all beings.

Whether this is illusion is by the way it is a form of sadhana or a step on the

path....
