In near death experience, all physical activities are stopped. The heart stops, the brain stops, the breathing stops, all organs stops. Clinically dead. Flat liners is also a phrase used, because all instrumental display unit will show a flat line, indicating the inactivity of all organs. In OBE, the body is alive, the consciousness separates from the body and is free to move around. There is the Monroe institute which teaches how to achieve OBE. There are 11 million NDErs in the US alone. But I doubt whether even a small fraction of them will share this with others. First thing the ridicule they have to face. Even somebody call them dishonest and cooking up stories. Or may be they will be stamped mad. Jody, I know a lady, whose own daughter suspected her mother being a drug addict, for talking about her NDE. Very tragic thing, last year she committed suicide. > What an NDE does to the experiencer is convincing beyond all doubts that S/He is not the body mind complex, but a spiritual being and death is not the end of human Consciousness. Second thing is it removes all fear about death. Why should one be afraid when one knows that death is only a transition from the physical to the spiritual. For most NDErs their life is transformed in a very positive way.It talks volumes about you, that a lady shared her NDE/OBE with you. > RegardsVG Namaste, We all have obe or astral travel when we sleep, we just think they are dreams that's all. I have had obe just took them in stride, why get attached? Astral and Mental travel is another thing altogether, than moving around in the lower etheric sheath.... The tunnel they talk of is that the entity moves inwards from the etheric sheath into the sushmuna and leaves the body at its level... --- End forwarded message ---
