Dr.Susan Blackmore, in her college days used to smoke Cannabis. During one such session she experienced OBE - Out of Body Experience for around two hours. She experienced " more real than real " a flying experience in the sky, over the town and seeing all the sights. This experience brought about profound change in her outlook and she joined for a Ph.D course in paranormal psychology. > What ever experiments/tests she carried out to prove paranormal phenomenon, gave negetive results. So she turned a skeptic. She denies Near Death Experience as a genuine phenomenon, because she had a similar experience under the influence of cannabis. IMHO, this is topsy-turvy logic. Late Carl Gustaf Jung, had an NDE and he accepted it as a real experience. Dr.George Rodoniaia, a Ph.D in neuro pathology was dead for three days. He had, externally verifyable experience during that three days when he was dead and his body was lying in the mortuary ! > Her cannabis induced experiences can be read here and it is very interesting reading material : > http://www.susanblackmore.co.uk/journalism/telegraphdrugs.htm > Regards > VG Namaste,VG. I have had this experience several times, sometime spontaneously, finding myself outside my body. On another occasion I was 'aided' by Yogi in a ragged brown robe. I don't know whether he was alive and living somewhere else or was an astral being of some kind..However instead of it being an obe as such I went up through all the planes and dimensions until there was a 'no mind' 'no experience/memory' state.....It happened on an ashram in India and I have been able to repeat it ever since. Everyone astral travels at night but they don't realise it...It is all in the 'Dreamplane' anyway.............Cheers Tony. --- End forwarded message ---

On returning from meditation the body sometimes bumps in to place...........I'm sure many experience this but do not realise what it is....Cheers Tony. --- End forwarded message ---

As one can tell the difference between a cognitive dream and an ordinary one, one can also be aware that astral travel is happening and not just an ordinary dream. One travels through the different bodies or kosas to the causal and deep sleep state several times a night. OBE is something different and is obvious to the person, for they see they have a separate body........Cheers Tony. --- End forwarded message ---
