Eternal and immortal. At that time I had wondered why a fuss should be made

about this being the secret of the secret. No pun intended, I know in the

western countries a big business is built upon the " Secret " , Books, Videos,

Speeches, the works.                     That was some 55 years ago. Today I

know many people will ridicule me if I tell this openly, pete or petard. Pun

The Ramayana was based on much older traditions and literature. All religions

teach that humans are not the body but the 'soul' which comes into the body and

leaves the body. There is a difference in how this is explained...ie the soul

has a body or the body has a soul.Jesus said 'it is amazing the body has a

spirit but even more amazing the spirit has a body'.

 

However the time the Ramayana is writing about is a time much earlier on this

planet and a time when there were all kinds of mixture animal/human

beings---like Hanuman, and there were various types of hominids or humans.

 

The Bible in Genesis mentions the descent of beings who were intermarrying with

human women. The Bhagavata Purana writes of the descent of the Kumaras, red and

blue types..

 

So in ancient texts there is a tradition that 'Astral' beings descended into

human type hominids.Some to enjoy and some to help correct a situation.

Supposedly came from around the pleiades and sirius orion...hence osiris...

 

Notwithstanding all that it is not that we are not the body/mind but that we are

not just the body/mind alone...All is One.
