Namaste Eric, That is a point...If the Mukta is in pain or decaying it probably would be generous of them to seek some amelioration or treatment to put the devotees or family at peace. Niz took oxygen at the end anyway. So it is a toss up between demonstrating indifference to the body, and salving the suffereing of other observers....However it is a common them in Muktas---look at Jesus on the cross.
