having been born into the 'jewish faith' and having been bar mitvahed

and being married to a woman from israel

i can say from the bottom of my heart

there is no such thing as being jewish for 'me'

but i respect whatever one associates with

that keeps a focus on GOD

but these days in america being jewish is much less about GOD

than it is about a social club

this is not true for the ortodox, i don't imagine, who are very strict in their

ritualistic observances

but even these righteous men and women of orthodox judaism

do not speak to 'me'

what is one to do but love and respect even when seeing illussion

but since this form was raised with a jewish identity

and came to Ramana and gave up all notions of such a thing

i say happy Ramana day every day

and if you still resonante with being jewish on some level

shana tova

judiasm or ramana makes no difference to the body-mind, only the dependency has changed from one institution to another. it does not relieve one from bondage. self needs freedom from thoughts, thoughts need freedom from concepts, concepts arise from perceiving. when you are not perceiving you are with your self.
