UNION: * Binding and knitting together, that is the meaning of union. THE POWERS OF THE SOUL: * The powers of the soul and their works: memory, understand, and will: these are the multitude, these will diversify you. THE SOUL'S PERFECTION: * The soul's perfection consists in liberation from life, which is in part an admission to the life which is whole. PERFECTION: * The essence of perfection lies in bearing poverty, misery, despising, adversity, and every hardship that befalls--willingly, gladly, freely, eagerly, calm and unmoved, and persisting to death without a why. THE SOUL: * In her actuality she is, like the Father, making all things new. * The soul is simply the motionless form of the body. THE DIVINE LIGHT: * With divine light the natural life is no obstacle to the eternal light; or, in other words, there is no consenting to sin ... Knowledge with the power to apply it, that is the eternal light. KNOWLEDGE: * Knowledge is power. UNKNOWING: * This is transformed knowledge, not ignorance which comes from lack of knowing. THE JUST MAN: * The just man serves neither God nor creature; he is free; and the more he is just, the more he is free, and the more he is freedom itself.
