THE POWERS OF THE SOUL:

* The powers of the soul and their works: memory, understand, and will: these are the multitude, these will diversify you.

THE SOUL'S PERFECTION:

* The soul's perfection consists in liberation from life, which is in part an admission to the life which is whole.

PERFECTION:

* The essence of perfection lies in bearing poverty, misery, despising, adversity, and every hardship that befalls--willingly, gladly, freely, eagerly, calm and unmoved, and persisting to death without a why.

THE SOUL:

* In her actuality she is, like the Father, making all things new.

* The soul is simply the motionless form of the body.

THE DIVINE LIGHT:

* With divine light the natural life is no obstacle to the eternal light; or, in other words, there is no consenting to sin ... Knowledge with the power to apply it, that is the eternal light.

KNOWLEDGE:

* Knowledge is power.

UNKNOWING:

* This is transformed knowledge, not ignorance which comes from lack of knowing.

THE JUST MAN:

* The just man serves neither God nor creature; he is free; and the more he is just, the more he is free, and the more he is freedom itself.

JUST MEN:

* One sign of them is that they are warm: there is no half-heartedness, tardiness, or disinclination in them to do good works.
