" The senses are superior, they say; superior to the

senses is the mind; superior to the mind is the

uderstanding; superior to the understanding is the

Self.

" Therefore know the Self, who is superior to the

understanding, contrtol the self by the Self, and

destroy, O might Arjuna, the enemy, who comes in the

guise of desire and is hard to overcome. "
