Guest guest
A prominent feature in the teaching of Bhagavan, and a feature that was constantly kept before our notice by his practice in daily life even more than by his words was Samathva, that all are to be treated equally, with like consideration, not only all men, but all animals, all forms of life, all being equally manifestations of God. A whole volume could be written describing how Bhagavan treated all men alike, how monkeys, squirrels, peacocks, birds, deer dogs, sparrows, even tiger cubs, all shared his affection, and how he showed his solicitude for all. However, I will not give examples here but simply content myself stating that Samathva was taught to us constantly by his great examples. In his presence all were alike, high or low, rich or poor, man or woman, child or adult, human or animal. ------------------------------- My Recollections of Bhagavan Sri Ramana by A.
