The Maharshi did not reply. But then something very strange and wonderful happened, for she saw the Maharshi as Dakshinamurti, the Divine Inner Guru who teaches the unutterable Truth in the silence of the Spirit. As she would write, "When I was talking to him his appearance changed and I thought that Dakshinamurti was sitting before me. In the silence I heard, "There is no separation, all Gurus are one.
