Guest guest
Day by Day with Bhagavan : 28-6-46 28-6-46In the afternoon Khanna's wife appealed to Bhagavan inwriting: "I am not learned in the scriptures and Ifind the method of Self-enquiry too hard for me. I ama woman with seven children and a lot of householdcares, and it leaves me little time for meditation. Irequest Bhagavan to give me some simpler and easiermethod."Bhagavan: "No learning or knowledge of scriptures isnecessary to know the Self, as no man requires amirror to see himself. All knowledge is required onlyto be given up eventually as not-Self. Nor ishousehold work or cares with children necessarily anobstacle. If you can do nothing more, at leastcontinue saying `I, I' to yourself mentally all thetime, as advised in Who am I? Whatever work you may bedoing and whether you are sitting, standing orwalking. `I' is the name of God. It is the first andgreatest of all mantras. Even OM is second to it."=====
