There is electricity flowing in the wire. With resistance to its

passage, it glows as a lamp or revolves as a fan. In the wire it

remains as electric energy. Similarly also, silence is the eternal

flow of language, obstructed by words.

Put yourself in a room.

With no windows,no TV,no radio,no internet,no distractions whatsoever.

Watch what happens.

Ramana did it...(in a cave or cellar,if I recall)

Can you?

Is this 'Silence' just a romantic idea?

Maybe dreamy and wishful thinking?

To find your 'Heart'....one must look into the mirror (so to speak).

Everyone talks of 'Silence'...few dare to find it.

Just a thought.

: )

Know who you are, then all else will be know (Sri Ramana)

Hello,

Silence is good.I meant my post in a positive way.I hope I did'nt

sound off base.

Silence is diffucult to relax into, but once rediscovers ones own

'Being' everything smooths out.

'Being' is used by Ramana as an intransitive verb.

Its easily misunderstood word or idea.

One Relaxes into 'Being',as opposed to trying to run out and chase

it down.

My practice started at night as the body begins to drift to sleep.I

simply did not sleep and found pure awarness this way.

Ego (Chattering Brain Wave) is the first thing that starts to

shutdown as one quietly drifts off to sleep.Simply do nothing other

than stay aware. This is Pure Awarness.

I read somewhere that Ramana recommended this to a devotee years

ago,so as to get his message across as to Silence versus the Ego.

I will try to dig it up over at the Ramana Website.

Peace
