32 To abide as consciousness is self-surrender

The Supreme Self is the substratum for the apparent manifestation of the jiva in the waking and dream states and for its subsidence in deep sleep and swoon. The nature of the Supreme Self is pure silence [mauna], which cannot be imagined by qualities and marks. Self-surrender is to hold on to this supreme silence and to remain still within, abiding only as being-consciousness.
