hi friends

long bac i read an article in THE HINDU about the life of

maharishi

i read thro a phrase which turned my understanding of life

all the way but i think i ve made a mistake i think that i mistook it

so pls explain me the meaning of the qoute

" in response to her pleadings to return, the young swami replied with

a wriiten message that read : " The ordainer controls

the fate of souls in accordance with their prarabhda karma(deeds

performed in their earlier births).Whatever is destined

not to happenwill not happen,try as u may.whatever is destined to

happen will happen, do what you may to prevent it.

This is certain. The best course is therefore, to remain silent.

Silence is eternal eloquence. Inactivity is constant

activity " .

this is said by maharishi to his mother for her request to

return home

can anybody pls explain me the meaning????

Vanakkam! we may not "know" the exact meaning of those words uttered by Bhagawan to HIS mother because our spiritual maturity and temperament varies. you did not misunderstand anything. it was just the way "you" could "understand" at that juncture of your life.it was destined. Most importantly, its vital to remember that it was not "you" who experienced the understanding .... "understanding " is not an intellectual process.....
