In the similar way, 4th house becomes 8th if reckoned from 9th. For school level education 11th gives disturbances, for higher education 4th may cause discontinuence. 11th house to be judged in educational matter to look only if the native has detined to fulfill primary or higher education or not. Normally if you see the reasons in thousands of caes it all comes down to 3rd and 8th houses and also 10th. These are 12th or negation to the houses of completion of study ie. 4th ,9th and 11th. Example- Suppose in case when a school going childs father gets transferred quite frequently to various cities due to his profession or service, then in the boys chart everytime his 3rd house would be activated. Or if sudden accident or hospitalisation occurs at time of SSC or Board examinations then his 8th house would be activated. Or at Bcom starting if any boy who has family business and his father needs him in the business then his 10th house would be activated. In all above cases breaks would be there in education. Whenever 11 figures with other houses of education or even in Prashna chart alone,then still we have to take it in consideration as good for education. So forget about other rules which may cause confusions. 4th is good for school level education and when coming together with 11th would also give good education to the child. No question about that. Higher education if You say that 4th will cause discontinuence then also note that because of 4th only one is able to reach the 9th in most of the cases. If a person does not know to read and write then how would he complete his Phd or thesis ? In my case, fifth lord is in the first house (with Taurus ascendant) and 9 and 10 lord is in 11th i.e. saturn is in 11 th house. Now, many people say that my fifth lord in first house is not at all bad, and Sagturn though in mrut avastha, is still good enough to give me at least graduation. However, in my case all these astrological principles appear to have gone haywire. I think that what Bhaskarji has said makes lot of sense. We have to take into account the fourth house as well. May be in my case, because all the other fourth house significations appear to be screwed up, the education also got screwed up. These are just my musings, don't give much attention to it... Now, do you think with my Mercury Mahadasha, stars are slighltly more conducive for completing the education. I very badly want to complete the education; but just don't know how to do it. One interesting thing I would like to share here: As you know, my career has been suffering badly since last one year. Since my 9 and tenth lord is in 11th, I thought wearing blue sapphire would be good. I some how borrowed some money from my friend and got a good blue sapphire. For trying it would, I put the stone wrapped in a thick paper in my pocket. Within three hours, I started feeling unwell. The date is (October 11). Thinking that it may be just psychological, I ignored it and continued wearing it. The same night (at 1.30 AM), I was to give a job interview. The corporate office of the company for which I was to give the interview is located in Switzerland. So because of the time difference, my interview was slated at 1.30 AM. They had given me a toll free number and I was to call that number at sharp 1.30 AM. I was awake all throughout. At around 12.30 am, I got up and switched the computer. But to my horror, the computer knocked off. The toll free number was in my computer. It was a very odd hour, I just could not have done anything. It was a very good position. I just couldn't do anything but to see the opportunity just go by. I immediately took the sapphire out of my pocket. I was too distressed, and just could not figure out what was happening. I mean, how the Saturn stone could not suit me when Sagturn is supposed to be so beneficial to me. The most shocking part was that it gave me adverse result in just six gto eight hours. The following day (i.e. yesterday), I had an interview with a small software company. It is a very low paying job. I got through the interview, and by the time I came back home, they had left a voice mail, informing me that I have been selected for the job. Though it is a very low paying job, I guess I would be taking it because my financial condition is very very precarious. In last one year, I have been fired thrice. Now, it is a very low paying job, so I guess I would be surviving. At least that is the hope I have. I am feeling very very low. All my fighting spirit has disappeared. I am feeling very very pessimistic. Just want to give up working and retreat to some ashram in India, and live frugally. But I can'gt do that...I guess, one has to continue with his struggle... If at all You pull yourself to it, its going to be a battle against all odds. Personally speaking ,But why are you worried so much about academics. Even I could not complete my College degree in time though I attanded all the years through was not able to sit for the final exams, as family business made me leave after college immediately to office and have lunch too in restuarants (For 15 years I did this).Then after reaching home at 9.pm or so, had no energy to read those boring text books with no one to explain what was inside. I used to leave for college at 7.00am in morning . But nothing great thousands are doing this. What I mean to say is this that ultimately one should possess common knowledge, which we do possess,all about history,geography,cultural,politics,regional, sports,technical, day to day advancements and mainly how to earn our daily bread and butter. Okay inside the heart the burning desire is always there to get the degree, butin final analysis, its okay. I would be rather spending todays time on something which helps someone today and not just myself alone, maybe family members or from the public or friends. Though the loss inside would always be there, but cant waste my time retracking my steps behind. we have to move on to better greener pastures. Nevertheless getting degrees is a gateway to getting good bulky remunerations from corporates and multinationals no doubt about that. Personally I am not averse to learning at any age. You may laugh but at age of 42,ie. 3 years back I was learning Karate for 6 months continously . then stopped because my personal instructor stopped coming at home as he got a full time job, so I couldnt visit his own premises in suburbs of Bombay and frankly speaking I used to get a headache after his hard 45 minutes rigorous regime. I got the opputunity and escaped. It was a childhood inborn desire which i gave way for few months and completed the desire. I have also given 3 exams in last year one connected to stock exchange, Insurance and another Jyotish,one more I shall be giving this december if all goes well. MBA also I have in mind some later time in future. actually what they teach in a nutshell is creating replicas of You so that anytime you can be replaced by anyone when you are absent due to whatever reasons and the workand productivity continues without this important peg too. This we all learn by experience but they teach us academically. Hope You are fine. keep posting.
