SWAYAMBHOO MANU and SATHA ROOPA DEVI : -

Their Third Daughter and Last Child IS DEVAHOOTHI . Devahoothi's

Parents , MANU and SATHA ROOPA , Elder Sisters ,

AKOOTHI and PRASOOTHI and Her Two Brothers PRIYAVRATHA and

UTTHAANAPAADA are very fond of DEVAHOOTHI.

Now it is Time for the Marriage of DEVAHOOTHI and as usual Her

Parents approached LORD BRAHMA for Guidance .

PITHAAMAHA BRAHMA said HE will speak to HIS Son KARDAMA , Who is an

Ascetic Individual and Very Philosophical.

BRAHMA sent word for KARDAMA and put forward HIS suggestion to MARRY

The Youngest Daughter Of Manu and Satharoopa.

Times have changed and A PELLI CHOOPULU ( a get together) was

arranged. MANU , SATHAROOPA. DEVAHOOTHI and all the

Family MEMBERS approached KARDAMA MUNI and proposed the ALLIANCE.

Prospective BRIDE and GROOM looked at

Each Other in the presence of all the Family Members and having taken

Their Mutual Consent, ofcourse DEVAHOOTHI was too shy

and only nodded Her head, MANU enquired from KARDAMA how He proposes

to Support His would be Better Half , which qestion

MANU never asked before in the case of Akoothi and Prasoothi - times

indeed have changed. KARDAMA requested for 10 days time

during which time He prayed BRAHMA for financial help, and BRAHMA

recommended KARDAMA's appeal for Financial Help to

LAKSHMI DEVI which was readily granted,

So in ten days time when MANU, Satharoopa , Devahoothi and others

returned to KATDAMA's Ashram -

KARDAMA IS READY with a House , New Clothes , Transportation and

JEWELERYfor the BRIDE DEVAHOOTHI.

Every one is satisfied and DEVAHOOTHI and KARDAMA MAHAA MUNI Marriage

was performed,

and as is the practice in those bygone days all left leaving behind

DEVAHOOTHI with HER HUSBAND KARDAMA .

KARDAMA and DEVAHOOTHI led a Blissful Married Life as an Ideal Couple

in an Ideal Gruhastha Aashrama with

Chathur vidha Purushaarttha - ARTHA , KAAMA , DHARMA and MOKSHA.

In Course of Time They were Blessed with NINE AUGHTERS - 1. KALA ,

2. ANASOOYA , 3. SRADDHA , 4. HAVIRBHU , 5. GATHI ,

 

6. KRIYA , 7.

KHYAATHI , 8 . ARUNDHATHI nd 9. SAANTHI.

and a SON KAPILA MAHARISHI.

These NINE DAUGHTERS were Respectively Married , at the suggestion

of BRAHMA to HIS NINE SONS - NAVA BRAHMAS.-

1, MAREECHI , 2. ATHRI , 3. ANGIRASA , 4. PULASTHYA , 5. PULAHA , 6.

KRATHU , 7. BHRIGU , 8. VASISHTTA and 9. ATTHARVA.

With this BRAHMA's Match -Making is over. In future BRAHMA left

matters for their descendents to stand on their own feet and find

their own

spouses. But BRAHMA is always available for Guidance without any

exception , be it A DEVA or be it an asura.

 

KAPILA MAHAA MUNI REFUSED TO GET MARRIED AND IS BUSY FORMULATING

SAANKHYA PHILOSOPHY.

KARDAMA , now that all His Children are well settled took His wife

Devahooyhi's permission for Sanyaasa Aashram and left to

Do Thapassu leaving Devahoothi in the Care of Kapila Mahaa Muni who

in course of time agve Moksha to HIS Mother Devahoothi.

Remmber KAPILA is MAHAA VISHNU AVATHAAR .

Thus Ends The Story of Kardama-Devahoothi - an ideal couple, ideal

parents lucky to have such wonderful daughters and sons-in-law

and MAHAA VISHNU as Their Only Son. KARDAMA is honored with the title

PRAJAAPATHI - KARDAMA PRAJAAPATHI.
