Guest guest
I believe that the Jiva doesn't need to exist after this; realization occurs that the Atma is all-encompassing and includes the small individual Jiva within it, just as a drop of water is still part of the ocean. , Vikrant <free_for_blue wrote: > > i have a seriouse question that is been going in my mind since long....... > when one cuts the cycle of death and re-birth and gets moksh or mukti then what happens...then what happens to the atman(the soul)....if one knows that this is his last physical life in this world and he will not be born again since he has now cut/stop the cycle of death & re-birth.....then what happens after this life to the soul....in this specific case where does the soul go after leaving the body...does it get dissolved in the cosmic universe or what...what is the final resting place or final destination for the atman(the soul) in the infinite universe considering the scenario i gave now... > any views ... > > > Vikrant > Be a PS3 game guru. > Get your game face on with the latest PS3 news and previews at Games. > >

Guest guest
Dear Vikrant Very pertinent question. The whole concept of moksha is basically to be that state of being which has no limitations of time , space and object i.e to simply state it has no duality(the sense of seperation from being and whatever surronds this awareness of being). This experience of duality is what is termed as ignorance of one's true SELF caused by the force of MAYA. Thus on removing this ignorance thru study of scriptures.right living(shad sampati).mediatation and gaining grace of a SADGURU the state of moksha is attained where there remains no individually identifiable entity other than one supreme state of being, that has no where to go because it is everywhere. Our great great rishis were able to comprehend and experince this state which they have been so kind to pass on to us thru the greatest and highest thought enunciated by any human being in this universe thru the great UPANISHADS. Hope this helps to at least grasp the essence of what is admittedly the most difficult existential question to answer.
